On Friday, December 30, 2016, Deborah Cummings Gates went to be with all her relatives that went before her. Her husband of 46 years and her surviving son, Christian, 38 years old were by her side when she passed.

Deborah struggled for two years prior to her peaceful rest.

She was preceded in death by her parents and first born son, Joseph Brian Gates.

She is survived her husband, Larry Joe Gates, who she has been with since she was 14; her son, Christian Granville Gates; her 10 grandchildren, Heather, Tiffany, Alexander, Brian, Jordan, Brookelyn, Kerry, Alexis, Danni, and Joey. She also leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren, Paisley, Jacob, and Ellie. She loved all of them and would do anything for them.

God will unite her with her loved ones now. We must take solace she could finally feel that we will take care of each other. As I put these words, to paper, I miss her so much and will love her forever.
