Obituary for Donald W Pierson Jr.

Donald W Pierson Jr.
Donald William Pierson, Jr., 52 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away at Prince William Hospital after a long illness, August 5, 2016.
He was born to parents Donald William Pierson, Sr. and Jeanne Emma Westerfield of Evansville, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, of Manassas, VA and his mother-in-law Neola Dail Adams of Centreville, VA and his brother Michael Wayne Pierson of Spring Hill, FL.
Don was preceded in death by his brothers James Dean Pierson of Largo, FL, Steven Lee Pierson of Fairfax, VA on August 7, 2011. His mother Jeanne passed away on May 3, 2015 and his sister Donna Jean Mercer of Manassas, VA on September 6, 2015 and his sister-in-law Cheryl of Spring Hill, FL on March 12, 2016.
Don was uncle to Rocky Shifflett of Chantilly, VA, Ralene Mercer of Manassas, VA, Melissa Pierson of Hickoy, NC, Eric Pierson of Bradenton, FL and Matthew Pierson of Spring Hill, FL.
He was a great uncle to Brianna Figgins of Louisa, VA and several others.
Don was a plumber and worked for Long’s Corporation for many years before becoming self-employed. Don enjoyed sitting on his back patio and deck that he built enjoying the fresh air and just enjoying life to the fullest. He helped restore a 1965 Chevy Impala SS that was his wife’s grandparent’s car that won best in show for the Wounded Warrior Project in July 2014 that was a proud moment for them both. He also enjoyed traveling, tarpon fishing in Florida and bass fishing.
Don was a very caring man and would give the shirt off his back to a total stranger. He loved his wife and family, Lola and Midnight, his two beautiful rescued dogs and his friends very much. The family wants to thank everyone for their well wishes, prayers and visits to Don. He will be missed terribly. He is at peace now with a lot of his family members.
Don’s wishes were to be cremated and requested not to have a service and his wishes will be honored.
